semestral break

after a long and stressful job hunting, finally i landed a job in access worldwide communication inc.. i've been hearing a lot of negative things about the company (pinoyexchange, former colleagues, former trainees, blogs and a lot more) but my intuition gave in and signed the job offer. its a big risk that i took but now i am enjoying the consequences. they have a new GM that came from convergys and after attending the FGD, listening to his plans for the company..i am relieved-(increase in our paycheck and benefits- what else can you ask for? now with a regular paycheck coming in, i took another plunge by taking out my old reliable HSBC credit card and swiped myself with a notebook. i can now sign in/chat anytime with my new ahem-ahem laptop. mind you, this is not part of the package in my contract. came straight out of my pocket-ouch! but just like what marketing gurus would say...its all in the way you present yourself. so, if i am applying (again) for a management level position, i have to be equipped.lol. its an edge to have a computer access at anytime.
training is such a bore. not because of the people doing the training but the process. i already know all the ins and outs of the curriculum. ahhuum.. its a good thing the people in my team are equally nice except for this obnoxious guy, the know-it-all dude. well at least we have someone to "talk" about. lol.
a lot of my peers are asking why i accepted the "position" and they have hunches as well why..some would say, i have plans of "tricking" the management but i assure you dear readers that i dont have any hidden agenda. the truth behind it is my principle. i want to know the project before i can lead it. and before anyone can open their mouth to rebutt, i have proven my worth in the company. out of 106 agents on the production floor, i belong in the top ten agents and humbly a may announce, second to the number one slot. i am applying now for the team lead position and submitted my letter of intent with my team lead yesterday.
but for now, my attention is focused on my week long vacation in Boracay! this is my third year in a row and each time new things happens and changes evolved. (i miss the old d'mall for one... the cheap food and booze of pier one?)
in a few more days, fri to be exact, im going back to manila and back to all the hustle and bustle of the city..hmm sounds like a song lyrics. but i thank you dear followers and opefully this time i can do this on a regular basis. till then..ciao!
