i am in my third week in a new company. still adjusting but its for the better (i think). i left my old company for a lot of reasons - i do not have to enumerate because i know that you know what i know. hahaha. god its so good to laugh again. no more sleepless nights thinking what is instore for me the next working day.
the predicament i went through tested my patience, intelligence and loyalty. patience because i really kept mum about the real issues. i know these talks spreading around would die down (and hoping that includes those people who started it). intelligence because it made me think and track back what really went wrong. i deciphered the sugar coated discussions with my former boss. he is actually giving me hints who are his moles. now i know- like a this former rep who used me to get a coveted position. my so called friends that stabbed me numerous times by literally pushing me to the pits of hell. reps of a different lead who always asks advises and pours the sentiments only to discover that he/she forwards emails and sms messages to my boss. a colleague who changed overnight. and a lot hell more. loyalty would really take you somewhere. i will not follow the path of my friends and boss. i will never change my coat in exchange of job security. one fact -i know i am good and i can easily find another job. to those who did-the metro and the industry is relatively small, sooner or later we will meet again. and if that day comes, i will walk straight up and see you eye to eye.
my new company provides me with everything i want. small perks that would mean a lot to an employee. my old company provides free coffee (and just coffee)-my present company provides latte, cappuccino, milo and coffee (black, creamed, with and without sugar) and top it with free styro cups with lids. here's a plus-those cups are allowed on the production floor so unlike my former. you need to buy a really working spill proof mug before you can bring in coffee. company mugs were initially issued but i think these came from 168 divisoria-the seal doesn't work thus it didn't give justice to its name-spill proof. my former provides water coolers - my present provides water coolers and continuous supply of plastic cups. no more stealing from the coffee machine for cups (some reps and leads do that in my former company) to drink water. my former has signed up with triple-v for meals. and lord pray for us - a meal is not enough to appease a growling stomach. one need to buy two orders to feel full. my present signed up with three concessioner that you will have a hard time what food and which amongst the three to buy from. and it only costs php35 for a viand and rice meal. pay disputes? that will be every payday for my former. hahaha.
i still have a lot to rant but it will be futile anyways to spend my energy to my former. i am happy with my new company - got promoted to avp plus a really fat paycheck increase. now i really believe in karma because i am reaping with all the good stuff.

parang hangin lamang na dumaan
i am really depressed. how come i have all the answers of all other people's problems yet how come i cannot solve mine? this struck me so sudden that i could not even trace when and how it started. sigh. sigh. sigh. wala na akong magawa. i think i would like to sing a line from a song.."why God? why me?"
NC is again doing what she is good at. making short stories that even the most problematic person smile. i am glad. but again, sigh, dark clouds came back and i am sad all the more.

pre tax season summer trip
wow i have totally forgotten that this blog of mine existed. i have another one set up for the mature and with discriminating taste audience but got bored of it. nothing much to say - kinda hard to talk about things that are not out in the open. hahahaha just read between the lines.
hmm to update you dear readers, i am still with access and currently a lead. if you read my previous posts, i think the last time i made was the time i am applying for the position. well i got the job. i am promoted together with MLL my batchmate in promotion. time flies and from bankstreet i moved to email line of business. currently i am handling the lob for more than a year now. i have a lot to tell (err spill the beans?) but that will be another post.
the pioneer team i handled grew to twice i have before. now i am happy (have to say 'happy' bec they are reading this) that i stayed or i could not have met the beautiful people of team zach a.k.a team apin. i am now the papa bear of the lob because of (my weight? i'll kill if you ever say that) ever caring attitude that everyone looks up to me as a father. whew, guess age really has its downside. long years ago, i use to say-wish i am older so i can do this and do that but now how i long i can rewind the hands of grandfather time and be young again. for one, the one that i have set my eyes is years younger than i am. sucks but what the heck, i am enjoying the company and wtf who cares if i look like an uncle with my 'precious'. hahaha seems like a line in lord of the rings - tolkien book.
moving forward before i get misty eyed, my team, decided to ease our dead tired hands in writing emails and planned for the event of the month. we are going to the beach (i still remember an old trainee that cannot pronounce this word correctly...it always sounds like 'bitch' even with mouth exaggerations. hahaha.
it was a like a cartoon scene where tazmanian would zoom in with dust flying all over. i think i saw dust too when we decided when, where and how in an hour. with a week to spare its good that the promotor ng lakad LL and the ever talkative pregnant NC kept the momentum high. sunday shift, all are excited - how did i know? well i saw newly cut hair, trimmed nails and pampered feet. a few even purchased new set of attire to wear.hahaha all are prepared to be soaked in the salty waters of batangas. the shift went so slow that we always look at our watches and doing the count down. plus factor management decided to move our schedule 2 hours earlier than usual. wow talking about luck, we can prepare more and leave early. itinerary is to stay at JL's place in Lipa, Batangas and head to the the 'beech' come twilight.
travel from office to devastation (the bus station) took us a few minutes. waiting for other passengers heading to batangas took awhile. miss d took charge of being the unassigned treasurer. 2-3 hours travel time, we reached JL residence. team settled down but when NC started kidding around, it was a riot. cooking session passed (thanks again daddy N and mommy H-sige sma mo na rin si JG na walng ginawa kundi tikman ang pritong pork), dinner time! chaotic ala nawala ang breedingnjlm some were not able to sleep, moi included giving me a terrible headache the next day. the dinner is rated A1 for a lot of reasons: we have a cake for dessert care of CH. the cake is heavenly delicious (i wonder if there was such a term?) embutido ni KL is also a knock out (thank you sa mommy mo KL) and the butterfly chops ni Ms D. anyways basta the dinner is perfect. after dinner, my team sought their own respective nook and cranny to rest. girls bonded with JN and RAJ. while others: CH, CJG, HR, LL and moi stayed in the foyer area of the house. daddy N and papa M played psp and instantly found a best friend with each other. the clock strike past 2am and some fell asleep with crazy sleeping positions, few watched dvd and tried to stay awake with a chipmunk name alvin playing on screen.
5am our designated brokerage (whoa?! no work discussion today bud) uhrm i mean designated drivers arrived. we bid adieu to CH since he cannot join us to the 'beech'. again as usual, just like high school days, i am the patrol officer setting up the seating arrangements. with a partner, big and pregnant stays in the other van, cute, with lots of food, decision maker stays with me. stop for some stuff - buying my ingredients for my super-mega-ultra famous sinigang. mind you, it is a blockbuster. people lined up for servings just like when monster shaved ice desserts opened (more about it later).
fast forward, we are now entering kabayan beach resort. check in time is at 3pm (sucks, it means we have to stay in a shed like structure. the team shrieked like exclusive girls seeing boys for the first time when we settled near the beach. its so nice to see how everybody is enjoying this trip except me because of a headache alert. bags arranged on one side, food prepared on one end, pictures taken here na dthere. smile here, v sign there, shots, click, and what more - our shed is turned into a photo session booth. hahahah.
team changed into their swimming attire/outfits and mind you, i just did not fathom that some of my girls really have the vavoom and some boys do have the oomph as well.
HR and i stayed behind and prep my dish. he cooked the rice with the reliable rice cooker of AA (days fresh from 168 divisoria). lunch is adobo, green mangoes, soda, fish and 2 batches of cooked rice. ang takaw pala ng email team ko. at around past 3pm we moved to our home - tv on, ref on, fan and ac on. i chose to have the room with a private bath - well i find it fair since i am a lead and i need my privacy during conference meetings right? hahaha.
i cooked our dinner side by side with daddy N and mommy H. sweet. these two are a sight to see, always working together. daddy watched on the sideline how i prep my dish which is no mystery really. it is still the regular sinigang but i dunno why anyone who gets to taste it says: winner! i did the same when daddy N cooked his dish, bistek ala daddy. hahahaha.
this part is kind of rated r, because my inaanak sa kasal NC and her papa M did something nasty while i am cleaning the house. hahahaha. that will be another post for details. the team went boating in nearby islands and what i heard - they all had a good time though miss D lost her snorkel. everybody tried snorkeling and LL mentioned he tasted salt water when he dunked under the water. (hmm i didn't know ariel the mermaid know how to snorkel..hahahah joke lang LL).

after several months of working as a supervisor is really something. one, you can actually teach, share, impart all the knowledge youve learned and acquired during your learning time. oh by the way, speaking of acquired, i remember this small start up company that offers an australian account..i applied to this company courtesy of my headhunter. after several not so good experiences with the recruitment dept (or should i say, people bec i think they only have 2) i am finally interviewed by 2 managers for the project dodo. hmm after a few get to know you, i sense they do not have any structure in terms of training or systems. oh well what do you know, they are taking a risk of starting up here in manila. it is a blessing in disguise they didnt call me back for a contract otherwise what a waste of MY time. LOL. reading the blogs of employees of this acquire asia pacific - it simply shows how they manage or run the company. and if you guys could manage to read a comment left by one of the employees of acquire (maybe his ego got hurt when i described his company as small and start up and shares a call center floor with trg-hey dont get offended bec what i said are all true! i have a gut feel who she ehste he is. LOL. so to you who ever that left a comment on my blog ---good luck to you and hoping you still have a job. are you now based in makati area which is by the way i heard from the grapevine that you are sharing again with an existing call center? omg! better acquire your own building before you leave such comments okay?

the agony..
today is saturday, but technically this is considered as my friday shift. nothing to do except to sing along while logged in at letssingit.com. having a shift of 4am to 1pm is not a bda thing after all. receiving less calls or no calls even, what more can you ask for?
a few peeps were interviewed for the TL post and so far so good its a healthy competition. i am crossing my fingers that no red tape will happen hahaha. winners as i may call it, will be on wednesday next week.
the agony part of this is..i have a pending application as a training manager from a so-so call center in ortigas. ever heard of acquire asia pacific? naah, its to new to be known. the company even rented a small space from a so-so call center trg. if i land thejob, it would be a real risk to accept it. on the other hand, if i'll be promoted in access worldwide, i have an edge because, i already mastered the project, knew half of the population, and gained 4months of probationary tenure.
haay, kinda tired thinking about it but let it be. que sera sera.
